We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Deal Participations Closing and Monitoring Analyst to join our dynamic Middle Office - FinOps team. As a Deal Participations Closing and Monitoring Analyst, you will:
• Play an integral part in the entire credit lifecycle, from pre-closing and closing of facilities to the daily monitoring and approval of client deals and repayments.
• Act as a trusted technical expert, providing invaluable support to our Front Office (FO) on all credit-related matters.
• Proactively monitor and manage credit insurances, ensuring the timely payment of premiums for all insured deals.
• Champion operational compliance with Natixis' stringent requirements, identifying and implementing enhancements for greater efficiency.
• Diligently monitor and analyze collateral and covenant activities to maintain robust operational risk control.
• Foster strong cross-departmental collaboration with teams such as Loan Booking, BackOffice, Legal, Risk, Finance, IT and Compliance, ensuring seamless workflow and communication.
• Engage directly with clients on a daily basis to process bilateral financing requests with speed and accuracy.
• Contribute significantly to process improvement initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Duties: Your day-to-day contributions will include:
• Actively participating in pre-closing meetings and providing essential support to the Front Office for new deals.
• Meticulously reviewing credit agreements for adherence to credit approvals and partnering with the Deal Closing team for precise booking in Loan IQ.
• Ensuring all Conditions Precedent (CPs) are met before processing any funding.
• Collaborating with the Loan Booking team to provide critical information and execute controls for accurate deal booking in Loan IQ.
• Overseeing deals from inception through to termination, adeptly managing amendments and waivers in partnership with the FO and Deal Closing team.
• Facilitating the prompt booking of credit insurances, calculating premiums, and ensuring strict compliance with Insurance Certificate requirements.
• Setting up and vigilantly monitoring covenants in Loan IQ for both bilateral and participant deals, guaranteeing timely reporting to Account Managers and the Credit Risk Department, if applicable.
• Managing the setup and updates of collateral in Loan IQ, adhering to business-line specific frequency requirements.
• Ensuring rigorous compliance with all regulatory requirements, including collateral reporting, and verifying that facilities are repaid according to credit approval conditions.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong, productive relationships with business units, GFO Ops teams, outsourced providers, and internal support/control groups to drive continuous process enhancement.
• Partnering closely with your supervisor to optimize processes and controls.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks, while simultaneously seeking out and championing opportunities for process improvements with IT and other operations teams.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in commercial lending and asset financing support management within a commercial banking environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a closely related business field.
• Proven familiarity with essential banking systems such as Cash Plus and Loan IQ.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
• A solid understanding of financial statements and a strong comfort level in calculating and interpreting financial ratios for insightful analysis.
• Prior experience with Letters of Credit and foundational product knowledge is a significant advantage.
The salary range for this Vice President position will be between $120,000 - $150,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
